Today, during its PAX East panel, Wizards of the Coast kicked off the Final Fantasy set preview season by showing off multiple cards from the main set, the Commander pre-constructed decks, and the Final Fantasy: Through The Ages bonus sheet.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The panel showed cards from every Final Fantasy game, starting with the original and working all the way through to Final Fantasy XVI. The main set will consist of over 400 cards, and the four preconstructed Commander Decks will consist of 100 cards each.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Final Fantasy: Through The Ages bonus sheet, meanwhile, includes 64 reprints from Magic&#8217;s history&#8211;four cards for every game in the FF Franchise&#8211;that are reskinned with artwork from Final Fantasy&#8217;s decades-long history. Each Equipment card with Job Select adds a creature type to the equipped creature&#8211;Cleric for White Mage&#8217;s Staff, Wizard for Black Mage&#8217;s Rod, etc.&#8211;along with an extra buff.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-gallery__list-item-content typography-format flexbox-flex-even\">\n<figure>\n<div class=\"js-image-gallery__item-viewport\">\n<div class=\"js-image-gallery__image-placeholder image-gallery__image-placeholder\">      <img class=\"image-gallery__list-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/a\/uploads\/scale_super\/3\/37852\/4491922-firion.jpg\" alt=\"Firion, Wild Rose Warrior and Firion, Swordmaster\" width=\"500px\">     <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"image-gallery__list-title\">Firion, Wild Rose Warrior and Firion, Swordmaster<\/h3>\n<div class=\"image-gallery__list-deck\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Final Fantasy II&#8217;s protagonist was next on the list, with two cards featuring Firion shown&#8211;one from the main set and one from the Through The Ages bonus sheet. <strong>Firion, Wild Rose Warrior<\/strong> can duplicate Equipment cards for a turn and make equipped creatures gain haste, which will be music to Equipment-heavy decks in red.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Firion, Swordmaster<\/strong>, meanwhile, is a reprint of <strong>Sram, Senior Edificer<\/strong>, which discounts Aura, Equipment, and Vehicle spells. In this case, the theme is &#8220;powerful crystal,&#8221; and each will discount spells that match its color by one mana whenever they&#8217;re on the field.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Darkness Crystal, however, causes all opposing creatures to be exiled on death rather than put in the graveyard, and then it can bring those creatures back from exile under the crystal owner&#8217;s control.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-gallery__list-item-content typography-format flexbox-flex-even\">\n<figure>\n<div class=\"js-image-gallery__item-viewport\">\n<div class=\"js-image-gallery__image-placeholder image-gallery__image-placeholder\">      <img class=\"image-gallery__list-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/a\/uploads\/scale_super\/3\/37852\/4491924-cecil.jpg\" alt=\"Cecil, Dark Knight \/\/ Cecil, Redeemed Paladin\" width=\"500px\">     <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"image-gallery__list-title\">Cecil, Dark Knight \/\/ Cecil, Redeemed Paladin<\/h3>\n<div class=\"image-gallery__list-deck\">\n<p>Next, the panel moved to Final Fantasy IV, where <strong>Cecil<\/strong>&#8216;s double-faced card was shown again.
