{"id":49,"date":"2015-08-26T06:19:22","date_gmt":"2015-08-26T06:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bignox.com\/blog\/?p=49"},"modified":"2020-03-31T08:30:14","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T08:30:14","slug":"enable-vt-virtualization-technology-to-get-better-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bignox.com\/blog\/enable-vt-virtualization-technology-to-get-better-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"How to enable VT (Virtualization Technology) to get better performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">What is VT?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>VT, also called\u00a0Virtualization technology,\u00a0<\/strong>is a technology that provides the ability to run multiple, isolated operating systems on a single piece of server hardware allowing a much higher level of resource utilization.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Why do you need to enable VT?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4>Virtualization technology could improve the performance of your computer and allow NoxPlayer to run more smoothly and faster.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">How to check if you have enabled VT?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>First Method:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Check the red question mark-\u201c\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\uff01<\/strong><\/span>\u201d in the upper left corner of the emulator directly, If you see this mark, it means that you didn&#8217;t enable VT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/69.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3922\" src=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/69.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1108\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Second Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check your system information, the emulator will automatically check if your computer enables VT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/63-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3924\" src=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/63-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"565\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Third Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Use a tool called:<\/strong> <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/leomoon.com\/downloads\/application\/leomoon-cpu-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LeoMoon CPU-V<\/a>.<\/span> It does not only detect if your CPU supports Hardware Virtualization, but also Detect if Hardware Virtualization is Enabled in BIOS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/64.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3925\" src=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/64.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If your check result shows a green check under <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>VT-x Supported<\/strong><\/span>, it means your computer supports virtualization.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> If it&#8217;s a red cross, then your computer does not support VT<\/strong><\/span>, but you could still install Nox as long as you meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bignox.com\/blog\/?p=242\">installation requirements.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If your check result shows a green check under <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">VT-x Enabled<\/span><\/strong>, then it means VT is already enabled in your BIOS. If it&#8217;s a red cross, then follow the following steps to enable it.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">How to enable VT?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1. Check your system information int the emulator and Find out your BIOS type<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/65.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3929\" src=\"https:\/\/res09.bignox.com\/moniqi-blog\/en-bignox-blog\/2015\/08\/65.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"422\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>2. Enter the BIOS interface: Press the shortcut Delete\/ F12 continuously while booting the computer.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Special computer model reference:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Laptop: Lenovo THINKPAD\u00a0 press F1, others press F2<br \/>\nDesktop: DELL press ESC, others press F12<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Enable VT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find the corresponding VT option on the BIOS page. (Mostly called Virtual or Virtualization, in some cases VT-X or SVM)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click &lt;Advanced&gt;-&gt; &lt;Processor&gt; (CPU)-&gt; Virtual or Virtualization<\/strong>, for some computers, VT are included in Configuration or Security.<\/li>\n<li>Set the VT option to <strong>Enabled<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Save (usually F10)<\/strong> to save and exit (Save &amp; Exit).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Note 1:<\/strong><em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span>If you are running Windows 8 or Windows 10, there might be\u00a0conflicts between VT and Microsoft Hyper-V technology.
