Open <strong>Terminal<\/strong> from your Dock or Utility folder.<\/p>\n<p>2. Type this command:\u00a0<strong>csrutil status<\/strong> into Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>3. Press <strong>Enter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4. Terminal responds with either \u201cSystem Integrity Protection status:<strong> enabled<\/strong>\u201d or \u201cSystem Integrity Protection status: <strong>disabled<\/strong>\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>How to turn off System Integrity Protection in macOS<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the <strong>Apple symbol<\/strong> in the Menu bar.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Restart<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Hold down <strong>Command-R<\/strong> to reboot into Recovery Mode.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>4. Once in Recovery mode, open a <strong>Termin<\/strong>al window from the <strong>Utilities<\/strong> drop-down menu at the top of the screen.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/support.intego.com\/hc\/article_attachments\/115004587312\/Open_Terminal.png\" alt=\"Open_Terminal.png\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>5.
