Apple Arcade Adding New 3D Sonic Game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, And More

Apple has announced everything coming to the Apple Arcade subscription service between now and the end of 2023. The list includes over 50 updates to existing games, as well as eight new titles like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Football Manager 2024, and a brand-new 3D Sonic game called Sonic Dream Team.

Sonic Dream Team–which launches December 5–is a 3D action platformer which sees Sonic and his friends once again doing battle with Dr. Eggman, with this new adventure centering around an ancient dream-altering device called The Reverie. Players will be able to choose between six heroes–Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Cream, and Rouge–and each character will have unique abilities and traits.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition–which also launches December 5–brings the Mickey-Mouse-themed life simulation game to Apple Arcade, only without the in-game marketplace or Star Path features due to Apple Arcade’s restriction on in-app purchases. This new edition will not feature cross-save with other versions of the game, but it will include all content released so far and the upcoming Rift In Time expansion.

The other six games coming to Apple, and their release dates, can be seen below:

  • Knotwords+ (Zach Gage, November 3)
  • Football Manager 2024 Touch (Sega and Sports Interactive, November 6)
  • Downwell+ (Devolver Digital, November 17)
  • Delicious – Miracle Of Life+ (GameHouse, November 24)
  • Puzzle & Dragons Story (GungHo, December 5)
  • Turmoil+ (Gamious, December 5)

Among the major game updates coming to the service are Hello Kitty Island Adventure on November 17, which will add a Give And Gather Celebration and a new islander, and NBA 2K24 Arcade Edition on November 23, which adds City Edition jerseys and eight new Greatest Player athletes, with Allen Iverson as the first to be revealed. Other games receiving updates in November and December are The Oregon Trail, Sneaky Sasquatch, and Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go.

Apple Arcade is available now for $7 per month on all iOS devices. The subscription is also part of the Apple One subscription package, which just saw its price increase to $38 per month.
