Honkai: Star Rail Launches In April On PC And Mobile, PlayStation Version In Development
Genshin Impact studio HoYoverse has announced that its new game Honkai Rail will launch on PC, mobile devices on April 26, and will arrive at a later date on PS5 and PS4. Set in a sci-fi universe that has plenty of fantasy elements mixed in, players assume the role of “The Trailblazer” and explore the secrets of the universe while traveling on the Astral Express alongside other passengers.
As the hero of the story, you’ll be tasked with uncovering mysteries within the galaxy and battling against the seeds of destruction known as Stellaron, which were planted by a cosmic god looking to wipe out all life in the universe.
The adventure starts at Herta Space Station and then expands to the regions of Jarilo-Ⅵ and the Xianzhou Luofu flagship, two major destinations of your interstellar journey. With various crises appearing around the galaxy and Stellarons on the rampage, it’ll be up to you and your party to save the day. For the acting talent behind each character, HoYoverse revealed the following English voice actors:
- Kafka — Cheryl Texeira
- March 7th — Skyler Davenport
- Dan Heng — Nicholas Leung
- Himeko — Cia Court
- Welt — Corey Landis
- Herta — PJ Mattson
- Jing Yuan — Alejandro Saab
- Seele — Molly Zhang
- Bronya — Madeline Reiter
- Bailu — Su Ling Chan
- Yanqing — Amber May
As a turn-based RPG, you’ll also be able to recruit party members to help you out in your odyssey, with each teammate having their own unique skills that can be used in battles. According to HoYoverse, the game “reflects an interstellar melody filled with surprises and rewarding experiences that echo throughout the universe,” and you can see more details in the special program livestream from the studio.
For PC users, Honkai Rail will be available via Steam and Epic Games Store, while mobile users can pick the game up on either iOS or Android devices. Honkai: Star Rail was first announced in 2021 and got a big reveal at the 2022 Summer Game Fest, and back in February, the final beta for the game went live.
