3. Constantly upgrade your Star Base

Your Star Base is where all the magic happens and having all buildings built and leveled up to the maximum level is extremely important. It does take a while to get used to the game’s strange game of dealing with building stuff around the StarBase since there is no build menu where you can sanely browse through the available structure but you will get used to how stuff works.

4. Upgrade your Ships

Upgrading your ships should also be a priority. Don’t wait to unlock the really rare ones and upgrade what you have in order to remain competitive and be able to destroy higher level enemies. Once you have multiple options, you should start deciding what Ships to focus on (the rarer ones are always the best choice) and level them up instead.

5. Keep Fighting Enemies

While you might be busy mining or collecting resources, you might forget to actually engage in combat. Don’t forget to fight enemies from time to time, as you will earn rewards for doing it. The higher the level, the better the rewards you can get for defeating them. However, don’t get too cocky and take on enemies you know you can’t beat. Just make sure to pace yourself and chain on lower-leveled foes if you have to.

6. Complete Daily Goals

You should complete every Daily Goal so you can acquire the Total Points needed to obtain every collectible chest. You should also pay a visit to the Events tab on a daily basis, there’s a ton of timed Daily and Daily Alliance events to busy yourself with. And finally, make it a habit to check out the Gifts menu. Here is where you’ll lay claim to timed chests which come in different time limit intervals. Every time you log-in, stick to this gameplan.

7. Explore the galaxy

If there is one thing worth doing in Star Trek Fleet Command, it’s having a look around. It will surprise you, what you find out there. Whether it’s a Tritanium Mine or something more dangerous, there is plenty to explore out there and that means plenty of rewards. Travelling across the galaxy takes seconds but if you can’t make it to certain areas this could mean your ship is not upgraded enough.

8. Join An Alliance Right After The Tutorial

As soon as you are free to choose what to do and where to go, you can already start looking for an alliance and apply to join one. Like in any MMO Strategy game, every player must be in an alliance or guild to progress faster in the game. Be sure to try for alliances with a lot of members and have a high enough level of power as these may serve as good indications of determining which ones are that active.
